Who I Am in Him?

Once I reached that pivotal moment of healing, God started taking me to the next step.  He showed me my mantle, my calling and who I am in Him.  These revelations in my life are defined by specific scriptures that He has blessed me with.

My Mantle – Proverbs 31:8 - 8 Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves; ensure justice for those being crushed.

I am an intercessor and a watchman, I love justice. I am always watching people and seeking discernment on how to pray for them. Nothing bothers me more than when someone is treated unfairly or taken advantage of. This verse is not only referring to advocacy but also to intercession. To be a voice between God and His children when they don’t know what or how to say what needs to be said. To fight alongside them by giving voice in the heavenly realm.

I also am known to speak plainly and to the point.  Many times, when someone asks me to pray for them or they seek advice from me, I tell them that I won’t say to them what they want to hear but what I believe the Lord wants them to hear.

My calling – Ezekiel 2:7-8 - 7 You must give them my messages whether they listen or not. But they won’t listen, for they are completely rebellious! 8 Son of man, listen to what I say to you. Do not join them in their rebellion. Open your mouth and eat what I give you.”

I have come to know that fulfilling this calling can lead to rejection.  But I must say what the Lord is telling me to say.  Yes, I have lost friends when I have had to tell them the truth – but I wouldn’t want someone to lie to me just to make me feel better if my actions or words were not aligned with God and the Truth – would you?

Because I am – Isaiah 49:2 - 2 He made my words of judgment as sharp as a sword.
He has hidden me in the shadow of his hand.
I am like a sharp arrow in his quiver
(emphasis mine).

I am a sharp arrow in His quiver.  Like everyone else, I am here for a purpose.  Not everyone has this same calling – we can’t because He needs us to be different in order for His Body to fulfill all the different needs in this world.  I am blessed to have Him give me this revelation at this time in my life.

I pray that if you have not discovered who you are in Him, that He will reveal it to you.  Please understand that He most likely won’t reveal it to you until He knows you are ready to receive it.
