To encourage believers to hear the voice of the Shepherd and to help them establish a solid foundation in Jesus Christ.

27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.  - John 10:27

19 So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, 20 built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone, 21 in whom the whole structure, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord.  - Ephesians 2:19-21

About Us

My Shepherd Ministry is founded by a brother and sister team of Michael Schaeffer and Lisa Schaeffer Wykes. As Preacher’s Kids they grew up watching the behind the scenes workings of ministry and operating a church. Both went through their times of stepping away from the church and both had encounters with the Lord in which they came back. They came back with a strong conviction on helping the Body of Christ to be unified and function in a way that gives God the glory and furthers the Kingdom.

Lisa is an ordained pastor and has a heart for training churches and leaders in stewardship practices that honor the Lord. She also loves to teach the Word and has a passion for spiritual warfare and seeing people overcome their bondages. Her no nonsense approach and desire to speak truth is rooted in the many obstacles that she has had to overcome. These are chronicled in the ForEvenMe blog. She is married and has 2 daughters.

Mike – the compassionate one (When God was handing out compassion, he got in line twice and Lisa got in line for donuts) is a ministry leader at his church. He has a strong desire to teach the Word as well and to help people to be able to study and understand scripture on their own. His approach is grounded in starting at the plain text and looking at the historical and cultural context of each passage. He is developing a Bible study series that will be available online and be part of the Bible study blog. He is married with a daughter, two sons and a granddaughter.
